	Artist Statement Alix Hitchcock creates works of encaustic on panels, drawings, watercolors, or hand-pulled prints. Ambiguity of time, space, and form results from the dynamic interaction of abstract format with recognizable forms. "Her images are powerful and personal and very mysterious.
